WHY BIBLICAL MASTERCLASS?
For generations, our people have been called to live as a set-apart nation, skilled in the works of our hands and guided by the wisdom of the Torah. Yet today, many Hebraic homes have become dependent on systems and services that strip us of the knowledge and craftsmanship once found within our own communities.
Our men have lost the ability to perform the sacred acts once entrusted to them; like circumcision. Our women, once midwives and keepers of the home, have been separated from the skills that once ensured the health, dignity, and strength of our families and delivered us back to the larger system. A generation or two ago, we possessed the skills to perform our own practice to sustain ourselves. The Torah foretold that we would “serve our oppressor in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in want of all things.” This prophecy bears witness to the condition we see today—a people who have lost their self-sufficiency and the works that once sustained them.
The Biblical Master Class was born from the desire to restore what was lost—to return the knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship that once filled our homes and bound our communities together. Through the study of Torah and the practice of skills of old, we seek to rebuild the foundation of a righteous, self-sustaining, and cooperative people.
As we grow, we pray to fill the void within our community by teaching the works of the hands that align with the Word of Yah—craftsmanship, building, healing, song, cultivation, and care. Our mission is not merely to learn trades, but to restore covenant order in how we live, build, nurture, and serve one another.
In doing so, we move toward becoming an interdependent and cooperative people, capable of meeting our fundamental needs within the community of faith—strengthened in purpose, unified in practice, and sustained by the wisdom of the Dabar. Whether home or homestead, city our country, we desire to located and build with those who desire this restoration.
